Common Questions
Andersen Window FAQs
Andersen Window FAQs
Andersen Certified Contractors are verified to meet Andersen’s training requirements, quality standards, and customer-service criteria — it’s not automatic, and not every window company qualifies. The certification also means our installations are eligible for the full Andersen manufacturer warranty, which can be voided if windows are installed improperly or by an uncertified contractor.
It depends on your priorities. The 100 Series is a great choice if you want reliable, low-maintenance vinyl at an accessible price. The 200 Series (Fibrex®) is our most popular replacement recommendation — it outlasts standard vinyl with less material than wood. The 400 Series is the premium choice when you want real wood interiors and maximum customization. We’ll walk you through all three options during your free, no-pressure estimate.
Andersen product warranties vary by series: the 100 Series carries a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty; the 200 Series carries a 20-year limited warranty on Fibrex® components. The 400 Series also includes strong product coverage. On top of all of that, Doors & More provides a lifetime installation and service warranty on every project we complete.
Yes. We’re based in Dalton, GA and serve the full Chattanooga metro including Hamilton County, TN and surrounding counties, as well as Whitfield, Catoosa, Walker, and Dade counties in North Georgia. Not sure if you’re in our service area? Just give us a call — we’re happy to check.
Individual window replacements typically take 30–60 minutes per window. A whole-home project of 10–15 windows is usually completed in one to two days. Because Andersen windows are custom-ordered to your specific openings, lead times from order to installation are generally 4–8 weeks depending on the series and current demand.
Many Andersen configurations qualify for ENERGY STAR® certification, particularly those with Low-E glass coatings and insulating gas fills. Keep in mind that proper installation — sealed correctly against air and water infiltration — matters just as much as the product itself. A certified installer ensures you get the full energy benefit Andersen’s engineering delivers.
